This is curried chicken done my way. It consists of segmented chicken wings seasoned with curry powder, salt, black pepper, garlic and onion powders.
The chicken is placed in a medium pot, then a can of cream of chicken soup along with diced potatoes, carrots, chopped onions and sweet pepper are added. After thoroughly combining all of the ingredients, I proceed to cook the curry on medium to low heat for about an hour or until the chicken is tender and the sauce has thickened. Serve over white rice, delicious!!
I love it too!! Thanks Rashida and have a great day yourself:)
ReplyDeleteI love your recipes. If you have recipes for Guava Duff and pork chops would you post them please. I understand that some of the peas N rice recipes I have witness call for beef bouillon is this traditional? Thanks
ReplyDeleteHello Galerude and thanks for stopping by. I have not posted my Guava Duff recipe as yet.but I will soon. In the meantime, here is one of my pork chops recipes: http://cookingwithsugar.blogspot.com/2013/02/baked-pork-chops-with-apricot-preserves.html
DeleteBTW, you may use beef bouillon in your peas and rice, I've done so a few times, but it is not really a Bahamian tradition. Thanks again, have a blessed day.
Hi, thanks for posting so many great recipes. I just saw guava at the local supermarket, which is quite usual and was hoping to make duff. Do you have a recipe you can share? Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina, thanks so much for your kind compliments :) I have done guava duff several times, but I never documented it, lol!! Now that you have inspired me, I certainly will. In the meantime, you could try this recipe that I found, sure hope it helps. Her duff is more sophisticated and professional, while mine is far less complicated and a bit rustic, but my hubby still loves it :)

Thanks Debbie, I found that one online but was hoping for something less complicated and rustic as you say. I'll give it a try though, thanks again!
DeleteYou are very welcome Tina :) Let me know how it turns out.
