Crawfish Salad

Crawfish in any form is considered a delicacy here in the Bahamas.

Here is how I made a very large serving of crawfish salad. You may reduce or increase ingredients as desired.

Ingredients:
Bahamian Crawfish
  • 10 – 12 medium cooked crawfish tails (shelled and deveined)
  • 1 large sweet pepper (diced)
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 2 medium tomatoes (diced)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 large limes/lemons
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Onion powder

Directions:
  1. Dice crawfish into medium chunks and place in large mixing bowl
  2. Add lime/lemon juice.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and toss well, don’t over mix.
  4. Allow to chill in refrigerator before serving.
  5. Enjoy!!!

(This salad could be served with rolls or crackers).

    1. Lol, it could be a daunting task, especially if you're using only your hands, like I always do. I just crack them straight down the back, then peel the shell off.
