Fried Plantains

Fried plantains, one of my favorite side dishes. It doesn’t get any easier than this, folks!

Ingredients:
  • 4 very ripe plantains
  • Vegetable oil

Directions:
  1. Peel the plantain and cut into one-inch thick slices, length-wise or diagonally.
  2. Heat the oil and fry the plantain slices until golden brown.
  3. Place on platter lined with paper towel to absorb extra oil. That's it, you're done.

Tip: Plantains with the skin turning black are best for frying. They are much sweeter!!
